CLEANING OF SOOT FROM CHIMNEYS

SAFETY

Chimneys have an extraction system that is designed to evacuate smoke. This, in turn, generates soot, forming a layer that covers the surfaces over which it passes. This soot is highly flammable and pipe shafts constitute an element along which fire can spread and are responsible for the majority of fires that break out in homes and industrial premises.
In addition, dirty conduits lead to the chimney emitting smoke, (i.e., carbon monoxide).  According to the UNO, the presence of smoke in homes leads to the death of many of their occupants.
